Safe, controlled handling
Removes and installs rail in a safe, controlled manner. Fully remote-controlled via Scanreco RC400 from up to 300 m (984 ft), keeping all personnel clear of the work zone. Emergency brakes on all four corners as standard.
RTM · Rail Transposing Machine
In serviceThe best way to handle rail.
A remote-controlled, diesel-powered tracked machine designed to lift, carry and transpose all profiles of rail — built to excel in metros, tunnels and single-line environments, under live OLE and alongside oncoming traffic.
Engineered for performance
The RTM is a diesel-powered, remote-controlled tracked machine built in collaboration with GOS Tool & Engineering Ltd — the UK’s leader in the conversion and upgrade of Road Rail Vehicles. It enables the operator to start work the instant possession is granted, working under live OLE (restrictions may apply) and alongside oncoming traffic.
Removes and installs rail in a safe, controlled manner. Fully remote-controlled via Scanreco RC400 from up to 300 m (984 ft), keeping all personnel clear of the work zone. Emergency brakes on all four corners as standard.
Perfect for single-track environments; crosses multiple tracks effortlessly, including areas with conductor rails. Operates in tunnels, bridges and stations under energised OLE — no isolations required for access, working or egress.
A pair of RTMs can drag rail lengths in excess of 709 ft (200m+), handling loads up to 15.1 US tons (13.7 tonnes). Used in multiples, RTMs lift and transport even longer lengths of rail or S&C.
Over 709 ft (200m+) of rail installable in just six minutes, with potential for more rail to be lifted when combined with multiple pairs and rollers.
Purpose-designed to lift rail by the rail head, with a unique thimble system for efficient, controlled installation and removal. The frame-based drag attachment delivers superior stability and reliability.
Multi-purpose attachments including ballast plough, profile plough and ballast brush. Hydraulic and electric outlets for power tools, minimising petrol engine tools on site.
An auxiliary recovery engine provides hydraulic power for safe, efficient recovery from site — standard on every machine, with additional recovery hooks and attachments.
Up to 40% lower transport costs and 70% lower maintenance CAPEX, with a global after-sales service and no seven-year re-certification process. Typical payback of just 16 months.
1-year or 1,000-hour warranty as standard (whichever occurs first). Full OEM familiarisation and training included with every machine at no additional cost.
